Hey all,
I've been reading the forum for a while and finally decided it was time to sign up. I'm new to distilling (as in not doing it yet). I'm currently in the research phase of getting set up. I have some books and DVDs but haven't started a build yet. I'm currently in Afghanistan so it's a little hard to do out here. Right now I'm stuck to making apple juice wine. LOL A still might be a little harder to hide So like I said, I'm just doing as much research as I can so that way when I return back to the states (Maryland) I'll be able to hit the ground running. I am a complete novice here and hope to gain as much knowledge as I can so I don't either 1) Blow my self up or B) poison myslef in the process of starting this new hobby. I do plan on building my own still when I get back because the ones that I was looking at buying are about $600+ and if I put a lot of work into building my own, then the product will HAVE to taste better (whether I like it or not ) so that is the main focus of my research right now. I'm sure I will have a ton of questions so please bear with me in the process. Well hello again, and I'm sure I'll be talking with a lot of you in the near future!
