Copper Smell

Post by Hawk_ »

Should copper smell? I got my roll of copper from Mile Hi. I didnt notice any smell then. After my first Birdwatchers batch it has a very distinct aroma. My first batch also had this smell and makes me want to run it again. The second batch didnt smell like this. But after a few days of drying I smelled the collum and found the smell still with the copper. If I keep this copper in the collum for my gerber run, will this smell come into my product as I will not be refluxing? I am using a Mile High Dual Perpose.

Maybe I should clean with vinigar. I dont know, All I know is I dont want to mess up this Gerber batch, the airlock smells so good!
