Putting older posts here. Going to try to keep the novice forum pruned about 90 days work. The 'good' old stuff is going to be put into appropriate forums.

Trying to build a thumper

Post by JERSEYSHINER »

Hey fellers, do ya think it will work if I come frome the keg with 2" right into the center of my existing still head and use my old set-up as a thumper. I guess my question is will the pipe being in the center block the vapor path because the lyne arm is located on the side. Thanks in advance

running the 2" down the center shouldn't be a problem ... my question is, how big is that old boiler ? ....thumper should be 1/4 - 1/2 the size of the boiler.

The old boiler has a 5gal capacity. Will that be enough and if so, how much should I charge it with?
