PEACHES, PLEASE HELP, WHAT NOW?

Post by Thomas40 »

I have had a success making a sugar wash before but after tasting a "friend" jar of Peach shine he "obtained" I wanted to make my own as well as having "bragging rights to my friends". I loaded a 5 gal. bucket up with cut up peaches, 10 lbs of sugar before filling with water. I brought the mixture to a boil for 30 mins. before letting it cool down and stirring in the pack of yeast. I put a air-lock and stirred it for 3 days once a day. That point I let it sat for over another week before the fermentation stopped. I strained the mixture and then put the mixture into a air-lock container to sat for another week. I opened it today, the mixture is clear with a "yellowish tint and a strong smell of alcohol. I am not sure what I should do now, so experts please feel free to provide me with some guidance.... BTW, my friend's jar was clear and you could taste the peach and feel subtle warmth, but no bite....Good sipping!!!!
Thanks everyone for your help!!!!!!!
