Hey guys, I'm brand new to this and would like some feedback concerning the building of a potstill from a stockpot with a glass lid. I could replace lid with ss salad bowl but the glass one fits very well, ( almost like it was made for it ). I'm thinking of drilling holes in side of the pot near the top for thermometer and copper line. It's only a 20quart pot so I won't be making any large batches but thought it might be novel to watch the steam form through the lid. Can't see any reason why it won't work as long as I don't have the wash higher than the exit hole in the side of the pot, right?
Also , I've been perousing your site for a few days now and found it very informative and helpful. Thanks in advance for any wisdom you care to impart.
