I am making a banana rum with 70 lbs of bananas. I'm interested to know how you guys strain the solids out of a 30+ gallon wash. My last batch took all of my patience to let it settle after the cap fell. When I did, the solids still remained in the liquid after a week of settling . Thinking of rigging up a strainer out of fiberglass window screening and hanging it from my garage ceiling overnight but it's a pain in the ass. Is there a better way? I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, just trying to make some good rum.
Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
