Hello HD

Post by Alcoholix »

Nice to meet you all! I have been lurking for a few days and decided to register.

Currently reside in the foothills of the appalachian mountains. Gods country if you will.

Looking forward to learning all I can and eventually being able to contribute to other users. Outside of homemade wine I have zero experience, but have taken in alot the last few days. I do not have a still, probably going to piece together a pot using a keg while continuing to read some more. No rush here. In the end I want to try and make up and age some kind of whiskey.

Anyways, nice to informally meet you all and look forward to lots of knowledge and constructive critisism. Merry Xmas and remember those families that have lost loved ones in the recent school shootings.

Welcome to the forum and the journey ahead, the following are tips I have given new members in the past.

How to manage the HD forum

First there is some required reading before asking questions.
*New distillers reading lounge
*Safety & related issues

Cut it down into manageable information by focusing on one thing at a time.

Organize your information by:
*Creating a folder to organize information
*Bookmarking info so you can readily find it again.
How to bookmark:
At the bottom of each thread there is a tab named bookmark, click on this and it saves it in your control panel.
You access it at the top left side of the page named "user control panel" click then choose "manage bookmarks"

How to search:
*Use the HD Google search
*Use the advanced search at the top right of the page

After you have searched then ask questions this will help you frame the question so your more apt to ask the question in a way you get the response you are looking for.
