hey all,
First of all my math skills really lack alot

this is the reason for me asking this question.
when pouring a bourbon/coke drink whats the formula to workout the alcohol %.
ie. how many ml of 37% bourbon do i add to 250ml coke to make 8% alcohol mixed.

Or....you could just mix it so that it tastes good to you. I don't think mixing 74 proof whiskey you would ever hurt yourself.

300 x 8 = 2400~37 = 65ml
so 250ml coke + 65-68 ml bourbon should taste ok

Yeah.. 65ml of bourbon would be 7.6% if added to 250ml coke
Get the amount in ml of alcohol: 65 * 0.37 = 24.05 ml
Total (All) mixed: 250 + 65 = 315 ml
Get the percentage: 24.05 / 315 = 7.6 %
Famous last words.. They get what they get and they like it too!
