duplast still

Post by beefbandit »

Hey all i was looking around Trademe (nz auction site) and found this still called a duplast reflux still.

The thing is, the boiler and column is plastic as you can see on the pic. It looks interesting but from what i have read on here and other sites
plastic is not accepted pretty much anywhere near (with a few exceptions) a still let alone made out of it.
Not a suprise it was made in new zealand

I am wondering is there anyone out there that has had or still uses one of these. Also is there actually plastics out there that wouldn't leach and such?

i couldent even imagine using something like that. plastic boiler? really? the guy that came up with that should be held for reckless endangerment and alc.abuse.
today marks the dawn of a new error.
