Electric burners

what is the technical term or proper terminology for an electric burner that does not cycle on and off. I want to purchase one the one I have now cycles off and on and does work well but I cant seem to find one that specifies otherwise. Sorry this might seem like a dumb question but in all my 42 yesrs I can honestly say i have never purchased an electric burner.

the burner dosent control cycling. your electrical control lowers or raises voltage to maintain temp. buy one or make your own
