My first Liebeg

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

Advice to those new to soldering... Don't start with the biggest end!

It was much easier to see how solder was to get pulled into the joints at the smaller end. This was my first time soldering ever, and now all I need is something to hook this bad boy too. A newbie mistake also I did not ensure the nubs for the water hoses were lined up. Oh well can't wait to test this.

Looks good. I don't think the Liebig's inlet/outlet nipples will be that much of a bother. Might even work out better for you directing the hoses to either side of the still. I couldn't see well enough to be sure, but are you going to make the "easy flange" for attaching to a sanke keg, or do you have other ideas. Having a great time with my Samohon pot still.

Yes I got a connection kit from rainer distillers. It should be here any day, and am planning to attach it to a 7.5 gal keg.

Looks good dpotstill, Looks like rainier distillers will have what you need, first time I had heard of them, their only about an hour drive from where I live. I'll have to check them out.
Sometimes I wonder why is that Frisbee getting bigger......and then it hits me.
