First Death Wish

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

First Death Wish

Post by lonestarrenegade »

Hi everyone, just completed my first run, use the Death Wish wash, and it turn out great.
I would like to thank everyone on this forum, wouldn't have been able to do it without y'all.
I am running a all copper 5 gal reflux still (I will put pics up later).

Everything turned out great, tastes good and strong, used bakers yeast instead of champagne and let it sit for a week and half instead of 3 days.

I had a hard time with my first run. Other than having to do a lot of repairs right when I was at about temp ( didn't have problems during cleaning or sac run), 36 degree weather, pouring rain, it was AWESOME!!!! Nature of the beast :D y'all are great, every answer I needed was here. I will keep you updated. Thanks again. Lonestar.
