Recipes Website?

Post by Ribrob »

I've had some trouble following some of the recipes, primarily because some are not as well documented. I personally value instructional/tutorial type layouts. Essentially what I've been doing is breaking down the recipes for myself in a cookbook style format and it got me thinking that other people might enjoy the same style format.

So what I'm asking is...
1.) Would you use a dedicated website for recipes, either as a reader/user or as a recipe contributor, that is broken down in a cookbook (food.com / allrecipes.com) style?
2.) After sharing your recipe publicly, would you be upset if it were republished? (Like if you posted a recipe here, and it were translated and posted to the recipe site.)

I have other questions, but would like to start here.

I can see how a cookbook style recipe section/site would be handy but part of the value in our method is the input/contributions from different members within the recipe...

I and many others have hardcopied the recipies here in a shorter version but it is nice to be able to go back to the longer thread when questions arise...

yup the ones i like i copy to document. that way if i change the recipe any i can add the changes to my document. and if someone else changes and posts something i can change it in my document so i dont have to go through 1200 posts each time i want to do a recipe
