Working on my new keg still...
So I finally got around to getting some kegs.
A friend of a friend gave me 2 "5yr old kegs" that he hasnt found anyone who wanted them or got around to scrapping them, FREE!
So I went to try to find a threaded coupler to solder/weld in, but could not find one big enough...
The biggest i could find was a 1" threaded to a 1" couple?(dont know if im terming that right) at lowes/hd, and a water heater element would not fit all the way through.
Im going to try to go by a plumbing store tomorrow to see if i can find something, in the meantime could any of you guys give me some links to some online options?
Also went by harbor freight and picked up a router speed controller to use until i get my phase angle built...

It would probably take someone who knew/carried about this hobby just as long to answer my question as it did to for you to post that snoody post...
Im just assuming that you just dont know, or/nor care..."son"
Just for future reference, if your going to post shit like that in my posts, dont...
Your a waste of bandwidth for the server, dont contribute anything to the topic matter or searches for the site, and quite frankly come off as an ass...
Save your and my time and just keep it to yourself.
Now, Im just looking to research some on the copper female adapters. Most of them shown on websites/ebay show a generic picture of them...
Id like to have a better idea of what im looking for at the plumbing store, unlike lowes, and atleast sound like i know what im trying to describe/know what im talking about.

Re: Working on my new keg still...
the 1" npt half coupling is what you want for the water heater element, you do not use the rubber gasket that comes with it use teflon (ptfe)tape on the threads and run it in as far as you can this will seal it.

Why do grown men call somebody other than their son, son? Does that imply that you're his daddy or somehow above or better than him? I guess I don't get it. I call my son, son. That's because I'm his father.

Cause he probably isnt a "Grown man".
He was just trying to be disrespectful.
And thanks Butterman!
Was looking for that last one for the bookmark folder.

Re: Working on my new keg still...
Where I grew up calling somebody "son" or "boy" when they are neither is meant only in a derogatory manner. I work with a good man from West Virginia and I'm sure if I call him either he'll see it one way. An invitation to whoop my ass. You were trying to talk down to the OP. Plain and simple. No need to back track on that now.
Also refer to rule 2 here.

Or take your own advice about self fornication. All the same to me.

Its a national pipe straight locknut. I used silver solder to attach mine to the keg.
