Reflux Project need advice

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.

Reflux Project need advice

Post by Rooster Cogburn »

Decided to spend a little time on the still today, most of my time was spent cleaning the pipe. I ended up using 400 grit wet-dry sandpaper and 600 grit scotch-bright.

I managed to cut down what I call the diverter, I cut it down as small as possible so I could get the maximum vapor flow, next I ground down the inside notches of the reducer in order for the 1 inch pipe to pass through.

ended up cutting the 2inch pipe to size and finished cleaning up all the parts, with a little luck it might just fit.I could use a little advice on a good way to hook up water lines to the 1/4 inch condenser tubing and was also wondering if 1/4 inch tube will be big enough to use as a product valve?
