Re: Sweet feed shine
I use Producers Pride All Grain (it doesn't say "sweet feed" on the bag, but it is) It's a COB feed; corn, oats and barley and 12% molasses. The corn is crushed finer than cracked corn and I have had very good luck with it. Regardless of what the guys at the feed store says, DO NOT buy any sweet feed with pellets. I learned the hard way that some of the folks at feed stores don't really know their products or don't care and will tell you anything. Often these pellets are alfalfa or similar and will swell into the biggest god-awful mess you're seen and impossible to separate the liquid from the goo. Go the extra mile and make sure you have a workable sweet feed and you will be rewarded with a hassle free wash.
Good luck

Add honey after distillation, dandy fine... maybe even a vanilla bean...

I have been playing around with honey and an artificial honey. The artificial has been real nice and add some good mouth feel.

I am also a Beekeep...what the heck is artificial honey?
Re: Sweet feed shine
Some nature store sells it and its just artificial flavoring. It's was strong at first but then mellow. It's call natures flavour- organic flavor concentration honey. Ingredients water, organic gum acacia, and natural flavors. Only advantage is it does ferment in cider and that's why I bought it.
