Is building a still easier than registering?

Post by kerberos »

Hi, after 3 failed attempts to register i am left wondering if the registration process is to weed out people who are a) sampling their own product to much or b) people who have no concept of simple math  (only joking, it is far better than those captcha thingies :D )

Been lurking for quite some time now and based in the UK. I am now nearly ready to dive in and start building but have a few questions i need to ask first which is why i have now registered. I will start a thread when i can get some pics of the parts/idea i would like comments on.

In the mean time i would just like to say hi to everyone and thank the site for all the excellent info.

Do some research and have a go at building your own still, you'll learn more about the distilling process and it's more fun. :D

kerberos - building your own, if you are comfortable with basic level metal work, is fun. Try it ... oh and welcome!
LTV - "keep in mind distilling is like masturbating. You do one wrong and you go blind."

Want to keep people from consulting idiots on youTube about distilling?? Don't be an idiot when someone asks for advice ... Help them

Thanks for the welcome guys. Yes i am building my own (allegedly) I have about 140cm of 2" and 60cm of 3" copper pipe. I am leaning towards a boka LM/VM combo and will post some sketches for feedback. I look forward to hopefully becoming a productive member here. Thanks once again

"You know, you can just buy that stuff right up the road" he said.
I just smiled, and said quietly, "No you can't".
