I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Archie and I'm from the Boston area. I have been brewing beer for about a year now. I brew using the all grain method and would like to experiment with this method when making Likker. I have 2 sugar wash batches under my belt using a turbo yeast but have switched over to The Lavin EC-1118 on my third. I hope to find the time this weekend to run this (snow storm coming in may screw that up) I have been Lurking on and off for a week now, have read several books and will continue to read. I have an early PS reflux extractor that I purchased off of a coworker. I was intrigued by the Idea of making something that produced 170 proof and hope to experiment as time allows.
Thanks to all that have made this site possible and to all that share their knowledge.

Welcome from a member that lives on the other coast. Toured Boston last spring with my cousins from Norway and really enjoyed myself.

Howdy... this I think is my first post or second... I have lurked for a long time... I'm north of Boston and would love to find a cohort to work with.
I have done some small corn/sugar batches but have been working on kicking things up a notch. I have a good friend who makes wine (LOTS) and have access to his press debris. I have a couple of food grade 5 gallon containers for wash and working on a still. I have ideas on how I want to progress with it... but hoping to get some input from someone in person. I have found forums to be helpful in some ways and full of aholes in most other ways... typical ppl who send nasty emails but when it comes face to face they are pussies.
That being said congrats on taking the next step... feel free to reach out (same goes to any other Nobo (NorthOfBOston) folks.
May the wind always be at your back.
