Becoming aware of the antimicrobial effects of copper, due to reading about distilling, it suddenly occurred to me that copper stirring sticks, drinking vessels, pitchers, carafes and storage vessels makes sense. Thought I'd mention it to see if others had the same thoughts and whether you were aware of resources for such things.
A copper swizzle stick is easily made from 1/4" tubing. Anyway, your thoughts?

I would say relatively ok so long as your distillates/finished product are not too acidic which would react with copper (which is not something you want to drink!) I would not store in copper for this reason, carafe and pitchers would probably be ok if the have developed a patina

+1 on frozenthunderbolt's comments. If I was looking for copper drinking glasses (tumblers) I'd go to flea markets and check for wares from the 1940's and fifties, back then they were rather popular. just be sure they aren't just anodized aluminum (popular in the 50's and 60's).

A Moscow mule (Ginger Beer and Vodka) was one of my wife's favorites in the 70's and it didn't taste right without a copper mug. Probably not the healthiest way to drink them, but in our ignorance it was the best presentation. Woody Allen advertized them, back when he was into older women.

I use the 7" by 1/4" take off pipe as a stir stick for drinks. I replaced it with a 4 foot section to get the output farther from my boiler and for a little cooling.
