Thump design
Hey everyone, I've been lookin to run a 7.75 keg as a thumper for some time now but don't really care for the inlet/exit in the same pipe and didn't wanna modify the keg too much. Here is what I came up with. I will add a two inch ferrule for the still to attach too. The inlet will consist of a 2 inch pipe with ferrules on each end. One end to attach pipe back to the pot. Welded into the other end of the pipe will be a concentric reducer down to either an inch or inch and a half? (What do you think? Off the end of the reducer will be the rest of the inlet drilled with holes at the bottom. This setup allows for removal of inlet for cleaning purposes.
