I've been a lurker here for a few years, and have recently decided to build a Boka head to use for various projects. I've learned so much from folks who post their builds on here, so I really wanted to share what I'm doing.
One of the reasons I decided to build a Boka was because I have a ton of copper bits and pieces laying around from previous projects and I realized I have all the materials needed for one. I'll be using this head in some different ideas I've had, and hopefully it will be versatile enough to keep up with everything. Since I'd like to try using this head for stripping runs, I wanted to see if I could fit a 3/8" coil in it for best knockdown power. With the salt packing method, I was able to wrap the coil around a 1" piece of stainless tubing. Talk about some serious hard work getting that stuff to wrap!
I just finished the condenser, and I'm too excited to wait posting this, so here it is!
Specs:
-3/8" coiled condenser with 1/2" pipe cold finger.
-1/2" endcaps soldered then drilled to allow the 3/8 to enter.
-2" pipe endcap holds it all together.
At the bottom I had to cut a triangle out and bend the tube into a 90, then solder. It worked even better than I'd hoped!
On to the slant plates!
P.S. don't worry, there's a vent hole in the cap, you just can't see it

Sorry about the upside down and sideways pics guys, I've been trying for 2 hours and they just won't right themselves. They're upright on the parent site, I'm not sure what the deal is.
