Hey everyone
Hey yall ,I've been lurking around the forum for a while now and decided to sign up. I'm looking forward to starting this hobby. My plan is to find a 15 gallon keg and go from there. I'm thinking just a pot still using a copper worm as my condensor. Any input will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

Welcome to HD, we have members with that design (more traditional) if your not hung up on tradition a liebig condenser would be easier to build! Good Luck.
Re: Hey everyone
Thanks, no I'm not worried about staying traditional it just seemed the simpliest route to go . I will look into the LiebigBushman wrote:Welcome to HD, we have members with that design (more traditional) if your not hung up on tradition a liebig condenser would be easier to build! Good Luck.

Re: Hey everyone
listen to them. a pot still with a thumper and a coil ends up causing you so much grief and after you are done you'll be wishing you had done something different. promise ya that.
Dear lord, please allow this dangerous combination of hair spray, bat slobber, and DOT4 automatic transmission fluid to excite my mind, occupy my spirits, and enrage my body.
Re: Hey everyone

Never mind I see . Could someone just point me towards how I connect my Leibig to my colum? I was thinking about ordering this since I am pretty busy.http://www.milehidistilling.com/copper- ... condenser/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow.

Re: Hey everyone
Get a 36-48" piece of 2" copper, a stick of 1/2" and a stick of 1" and some fittings. Mile-hi sells the piece that will attach directly to the keg with a tri clamp for attaching the column to the boiler.
Use the 2" for the column, the 1/2" for the takeoff arm, and the 1" for the cooling jacket around the outside of the takeoff arm. Honestly it's pretty simple if you have any kind of craftsmanship.

Re: Hey everyone
Aren't "bought" condensers on The List of items that can be requested by the TTB besides boilers and columns?
