UJSSM 1st gen. Fermented fine down to. 998 , Around 8.5%, but I have had unexpected company with plumbing contractors and their coming back tomorrow, Can I use 25% to of tbe wash to start my 2nd gen.? Cause the wash has been ready for 2 days but cant get a chance to run right now.

Keep it covered and it should keep for a long time until you're ready to run it. I had one I forgot about and it sat for nine months in the garage through spring, summer and fall and it came out fine.

If you want to make a new batch in the meantime don't use wash from your first batch just make it like you did before but rack your wash and reuse the corn and yeast.

The wash should keep ok until you're ready to run it. I wouldn't add any of it into a second gen. The alcohol in the wash could have a negative effect on the 2nd ferment. I think I would just rack off what you have and keep the lees until you have the backset from the first run. Or, you could just leave it as is, let it continue to clear and rack it directly into the boiler when you're ready to run it.
