I'm currently doing the 50% vinegar run to clean my still. It's taking quite a while. I ran it for 3 hours on a single burner and didn't even come near finishing the 3.5 gallons I had in it before I had to leave. I fired it up on two burners when I came home and it's been going for about 2 hours now. With two burners it got going pretty fast, but it is still only distilling 1/2 gallon per hour with the temperature reading 230. The condenser for this Alembic still is an all copper bucket that holds a little over a gallon of water and has 3 loops of copper tubing in it. It doesn't attach to the still very tightly, but the is no vapor coming out where it attaches. I also have to run the sink extremely slow as the exit tube is very close to the top and it can easily overflow. I'm attaching a picture of the condenser so everyone can see what I'm talking about. Hopefully this kind of condenser won't be a safety issue when I distill.
