Its designed to work on pantys, not underwear. If your underwear were 'not' in place, it would be broke, Sir.

Unless you wear panties, in which case, we're treading into an area I care to know no more about.

Just made some rye vodka. Combo of a neutral wash and a rye wash. Stripped, then finished at 96%. Diluted to 38%. A bit young, but I will sample some three days old tonight.

Made a form of the Tai Terror recipe out of some corn/barely whiskey, lime juice/zest, bird's eye pepper, ginger, and a liberal dose of glycerin.

Bitter, sour, sweet-ish, spicy

Only my second success at flavoring that wasn't just ok, but really really good.

Glas of Leffe Brown Beer. Abbey beer, 6.5%. Nice.

Maybe another glas of rye vodka a bit later.

Cheeky Rum.

A rum based on an idea from Doogie. http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... 40&t=47722, nuked with JD chips and toasted oak from a local tree and a smidgen of vanilla bean, eaten with cheese I made from local raw milk last September using the most expensive spice on the planet .... saffron, grown in my own garden.

Both are very good.

SF whiskey aged on JD chips and chared oak with coke. Pork sausage on the grill, fresh green beans, cucumber and tomato salad waiting. Watching the deer eat in the back yard waiting on the wife and kids to wonder home.

Hey. I'm at mom's and she's a lifelong teetotaler. What can I say?

I do, however, promise to make up for it when I get home tomorrow pm. Penance if you will. :ewink:

My wife is housesitting for a couple who have a great whisky collection and are good with me doing some sampling. Two of the bottles are mine. Pass on that

Nice collection of Scotch and a few liqueurs I'm interested in. Not much domestic that caught my eye. Tried the Crown Reserve which seemed like a step up for Crown. Certainly more complex and better mouth feel.

10 days left on this journey. Someone has to do it

Trying my best to age my rum, whiskey and vodka for more than a month so sticking with beer, a decent pale ale using Pacific jade, aurora marynka and cascade, at 5.3% it is going down a bit too easily.

Today I turned a relatively close to neutral rye vodka into a 24% herbs bitter, using water soluable herbs tea and around 5 grams of sugar per liter. First taste impressions are pretty okay. So that was the first thing I was drinking today.

I also reran my rye genever. I wasn't completely happy with the result. Young though it was, it didn't have that smooth, velvety taste & mouth feel I like. All I did was run it again. Well, after adding a little bit of rye low wines I still had left. I made a small cut to collect first (and usually excessive) juniper oils (like the first 50 mls) and that cut was completely hazy/grey with first juniper oils. I think I forgot to take a good first cut last time, and that's what caused the "hard", slightly unbalanced taste. Anyhow, a first glass of the newly distilled stuff ... tastes just awesome. And it is just a few hours old! In a few weeks, this will become a very nice product, I am sure. Glad I made close to 16 liters of 75%. I plan to store some for when Bushman visits!

Later tonight, I will watch the Champions Leage final. Soccer that is. I bought a six pack of Mexican beer. Not so heavy in alcohol and pretty refreshing. I like to drink beer while watching soccer.

Been evaluating some of this season's production. Removing wood where it isn't needed any more.

Finished now, so I can indulge in an aged Porter that few people know I make.

Trying a new blend this evening. Last year while I had a white dog bourbon, I put up several partial quarts with infusions. The one tonight was 750ml with grapefruit zest. The label said 80 pr when bottled. Ititial taste over three pieces of cubed ice come over as a little stong on the alcohol content and spicy. While filtering it was easy to see some of the citrus oils floating above the coffee filter. As the ice melts, the smell is really rounding out and not as sharp. As expected, so is the flavors. The smell is very similar to the soft drink called Fresca and similar in flavor but not as sweet nor carbonated. In short, it is ok and different but not as good as the lime wedge I placed into a capped beer bottle last year like I sent Jimbo in the Odins Bottle thread. Try something different sometime, you may find you like it. Maybe a little sugar and a wedge of grapefruit would have helped this to be better. After typing this and trying a few tastes along the way I find it getting better ! Imagine that. It will not be wasted. May make grapefruitcello!

First ever taste of nocino. Being made from last season's walnuts, it's only 6 months old, but it is very nice. Nothing like anything I have tasted before. It's very warming and stays with you for ages. My tapeworm will either love it or die.

I don't know what you would call this one. It is a liqueur made by fractional freezing fresh mandarin juice, then fortifying with Birdwatchers to 27% ABV. Very nice. Sweet, citrus, acidic, warming. If there is an improvement to be made, it would be fermenting mandarins to make the fortifying spirit.
