Water connection - noob question

Hey guys,

Finished building my copper Liebig recently. Planning to do a run quite soon but what I'm not sure of at the moment is how to connect a water supply from my standard kitchen tap to the hose barbs on my Liebig. Can you guys provide pictures or let me know what the easiest way is? I have clear PVC tubing that fits nicely onto the hose barbs but how exactly do I fit that onto the tap head?

awe shyt! we can do better than that pal, unscrew the aerator (thats the screen hicky for the plumbing jargon impaired) and get an adapter that will screw into the end of the spigot that has hose barbs on the other side. They are available, I just dont know what kind of plumbing supply stores are in your area.

Here is that i did, Let me know if you want the exact bits i used from home depo an ill tell u, way pricy tho, about 60$ for all fitting, plumbers tape and 2 - 10 foot hoses. I ran water in it and the only issue is condensation on brass.

I use one of these

Just clamps o. To any tap In the house.

Then I crimped a peice of 15mm copper round a peice of 10mm and soldered.
The 10mm fits to the condenser with 10mm john guest speed fit connectors.
Total cost about a fiver.

Zirtico your question was appropiate and I told the moderator I wouldn't comment anymore becaue of asswipes like Still_Stirrin. What suprises me he didn't a master title as most of the asswipes do. Zirtico you may be able to get the screw in connector that was used for a water bed the old ones had a fill and drain barb on the same connector. Or one used for a free standing dishwasher. There's a screw in adapter to connect a kitchen sink to a water hose, use hose clamps in place of the male end. Hope it helps good luck.
