Odins gin with some tonic and accompanying it with a corncob gentleman full of my favourite Lakeland Virginia tobacco!

3 grain uncle Jesse on the rocks. Charged the thumper with blackberry wine for the spirit run and lightly oaked.

It's great having a family who's supportive of your weird ass proclivities. Im enjoying a shot of homemade bourbon and an IPA in the new glasses my beautiful family got me for daddy's day. Life is good!

If that tastes as nice as it looks, Jim ... I must come over again soon!
Drinking some rye genever as we speak. And tasting some first rye vodka I made today. Still fresh, but it will be good.

A wee sample of Mr P's Hot Cinnamon Schnapps (fire piss). Very nice. Everyone who has tried it loves it.
Thanks, PP

Re: What is everyone drinking?
We celebrated my oldest daughter's 15th birthday. Great party. Hit the sack after 3 am. Downed lots of Heineken beer. And I had a few of my potdistilled rye bread whiskies that has been aged on JD blocks. When I first cut the drink down to drinking strength (45%), I wasn't sure it was going to be any good, but it turned out okay.

Re: What is everyone drinking?
just tried a shot of UJ that has been sitting on a medium toast, heavy char cherry heartwood chunks for about 2-3 weeks...starting to come together nicely. fruity? really different than oak.
give it a few more months before final judgement.

Re: What is everyone drinking?
This year we had to punt for Father's Day because I had to work.
Work is good.
We took the only night available at Cama Beach State Park's bungalow A.
It is at the north end of this 1930's fishing camp on Camano Island that was turned into a state park in the 80's.
Crabs are not ready for picking until July so the kids kept busy playing on the beach and at the Center for wooden boats.
I took along some White Hook Rum @ 128 proof.
Knudsen Pinapple Coconut juice and a squirt of a CocoLoco type.
Put the juices in the freezer along with the Hook Rum.
What a fresh wonderful drink. Even at that high proof the alcohol tasted great and complimented the juices.
My wife was impressed and pissed I did not bring more rum with us.
When we got home from the trip I put more juice in the freezer and made her another with the Barrel Aged Hook Rum at the same proof.
Yum.
I really like the White Hook Rum. I'll keep more White next time.
The barrel aged is whiskey like. The Spiced Hook Rum is going into the next cocktail version.

Re: What is everyone drinking?
I had the opportunity to sample some Green Spot Irish Whiskey last night at a friend's house. It was excellent, I enjoyed it very much. Now I'm searching for a bottle to buy.
I highly recommend it if anyone ever has the opportunity to try it!

Jim Beam Black. Pulled it out of the bar to give another chance. Still dont like it. Blah. Heads burn in eyes sinus and taste, and a weird unnatural oakyness.

Just pulled the cork on my barrel and it has a perfect scotch flavor, although I must admit, it has a lot of heads in it. Chasing it with Oakshire and Ninkasi IPA. It's a good night.
There is no such thing as a stupid question....... Unless you didn't research it first.
Re: What is everyone drinking?
My absinthe has been resting for a few months and is tasting pretty good now.
Re: What is everyone drinking?
Since I have yet to run anything, Im reduced to drinking slim jims... jib beam and diet anything. I prefer diet 7 with some olive juice and a small dash of bitters
Re: What is everyone drinking?
Enjoying a snifter of 2013's apple brandy. Turned out great, better than 2012 batch. I think its the mix of 3 yeasts. Delicious fruity with a deep caramel from the oak.

Re: What is everyone drinking?
Some faux cherry vodka, made with Polish cherry juice, over a block of ice. It's had a week to age and it's not too bad, only a slight hint of the cherry but does not taste artificial in any way.
Re: What is everyone drinking?
Still drinking first batch of ag whiskey from first distill. 4 weeks on oak and a week of air. 100 proof, three stones and two fingers...
You know your an alcoholic when you have your own still, mash your own grain and distill your own likker, but you don't care!!! A.A. is for quitters.

This evening was 4th gen UJSSMW and coca cola on ice, very nice
Re: What is everyone drinking?
Something I call spiced apple jack. 5 parts apple juice, 3 parts aged SF whiskey, and 2 parts aged spiced panella rum. Keep the jar in the fridge so no need for ice

Re: What is everyone drinking?
I'm enjoying a glass of my first spirit run of UJSSM made with sweet corn from my garden. I like it neat, at room temp. It really seems to accent the sour mash aspect of the corn flavor. I know I'm a weirdo, but I'll have a big glass of ice cold whole milk after this, before bed.

you can keep the milk though...
i'm trying some first run gen 13 hearts that has been on medium french oak for about 3 weeks....definitely making the cut to go into the aging jug blend!

Re: What is everyone drinking?
A couple of ounces from the 13th 200 ml jar collected from my UJ spirit run. 120 proof, neat, at room temp, in a Glencairn whiskey glass. It's nice and sour, and just a little sweet.
