Tiny Leakage

Post by The flint stones »

The last two times I have run my pot still I noticed leakage from where the tri-clamp connects the boiler to the column. At first I thought it was a drip from my condenser but further inspection I could see seepage under the tri-clamp. I though maybe the gasket that came with still needed adjustment or was bad. Made sure it was on correctly and also made a ptfe to try. Its still seeping? I don't understand since there is no pressure why it continues to leak there. Any ideas? The weld look fine as well? I tasted and its more of a watery taste. It probably leaks two teaspoons throughout the run. 8 gallon pot with 24inch copper column.
