ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on behalf of Mash Rookie

Post by BoomTown »

I have accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (follow the link above for the video) in honor of H.D. long time member, Mash Rookie.

I challenge each and every other member who ever benefited from the coaching and mentoring he did here, to either take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge or donate $100 U.S. in Mash Rookie's name to advance the research looking for a cure.

This challenge made it's way to me this evening. I didn't know Mash Rookie, but I am sure his knowledge made it's way to me.

I was glad to do something good today.

Great idea BoomTown! Money is a little tight this month, but I made a $35 donation in MR's honor.

I did both, and if the person that filmed me gets me the video I will post it as I hid my face.

My wife has MS so we have a ton of sympathy for the cause. ALS is sooo bad and we really need to give science a financial kick in the butt!
Sorry to hear about your wife, MS is very high for some reason in the PNW. My wife's cousin and daughter both have MS but you would hardly know it as I think they control it with a lot of exercise.

So I see everyone now doing this ice bucket thing, but doesn't that mean that they skimped out and didn't contribute any money towards ALS? I suppose it's still raising the awareness which is a great thing..

I don't know. The deal I was given was $10 and the bucket, our donate $100. Me and the wife both donated and bucked.

Think about it. If everyone gave just $10...

One of my best friends died of ALS in 2006.

I have been challenged and responded ( fickin" cold )
plus donated $ 100 each for Wifey and I.

Loved the football team with the 3500 gallon side dump!

Help however you can

God Bless

What a great way to raise awareness. All of a sudden, there's tons of news stories about this poorly understood malady.

Brilliant.
