Drinks in Fernandina Beach, coming Sunday?

Little or nothing to do with distillation.

Drinks in Fernandina Beach, coming Sunday?

Post by Odin »

Anyone interested in having a few drinks with me in Fernandina Beach?

I am thinking of this place:

If so, just send me a PM and let's see if we can make it happen!

I remember doing a tour of the old Civil War era fort there some 50+ years ago. Seems like it would be in Ga Flatwoods neck of the woods. A little too far away for me.

The White Lion Pub in St. Augustine, a few minutes drive from Fernandina Beach, make an awesome Rum Punch. I highly recommend having a few. I drank so much of it when I visited there I did not realize I was drunk until I tried to get out of my chair! Hope they still make em as good as I remember!

Phew, just back from my trip to the States. Litteraly: I openened the door to my home just minutes ago. Tired? Darn tired. I put in 18 hour days, with no sleep on the way over and the way back. But we did have drinks. Rum, fresh of the still!

Rest up my friend I will be there soon. Last night in Munich and Oktoberfest next stop Passau then off to Prague. I might be a bit tired when I do the long drive from Prague to Amsterdam but sure the excitement of running the iStill will perk me up! :D

You arrive on Thursday, right? I mean, if you come Friday only, you are in for an early rise, given our meeting at Van Wees Distillery!

You will love Prague. Beautiful city! Try a beer at U Sumavi or U Fleku!

I am not worried about your energy levels! Doing a few runs together for sure will get the spirits up!

Had to go back and look at my calendar as this has been a big trip with lots of stops but yes we leave Prague Thursday morning, I plan to make a short stop in Belgium as my wife's uncle is buried there (he was killed during WWII) to visit the grave site but should be in Amsterdam that evening.

PS: Been to Prague twice before but not to those places so will look them up! Thanks and see you soon.

Great! See you next Friday. I suggest we meet at Van Wees Distillery at around 15h30 to 15h45. Tour starts at 16h00. It is at walking distance from your boat. I will forward the info tomorrow.

Have fun!

I just shipped you a pm with my address for Saturday. Rye bread ferment, some 180 liters, is almost ready. So we can run some stuff together! If you come by car to me ... you cannot have to many of my drinks. If you would come by train, you can!
