it's about the collectability, not swillin.

how much would Oban's Barrel #0001 be worth to you, just to put in the man cave and pull the cork and sniff once and a while?

the first jug af pappy, signed and sealed by pappy hisself?

Woodshed, it would be a great way to raise some dough for your community people if the state laws allow. lots of charities would leap at the opportunity. (not all of course) get a sports figure to back the promo, it goes viral... i'm betting your first barrel would reach a premium right here on HD, just cause we could say we knew him when...
I finally quit drinking for good.

now i drink for evil.

Yes it is for charity. A good cause.
Also has drummed up lots of publicity.

Good marketing is needed when your trying to make money right out of the gate.

Wish em the best of luck as he is right there in the middle of bourbon country with alot of heavy hitters as neighbors.

Remember, I posted a bottle I saw at Lavina's this last September that was for sale for over $31,000. Here is a link to the thread if interested.

I missed the bit about charity. Yes that changes the game completely.

Since the AP picked up this story Boundary Oak has received 10,000 emails for requests to reserve a bottle from the first barrel.
Including the angel's share, there ain't gonna be enough.....Not a bad problem to have.
