You betcha!! The other stuff's been sitting on the shelf feeling ignored. Maybe let someone else drink it that doesn't know any better.

you are sentenced to two days off work.

(day one to clean up and set up a nice ferment.)

(second day about 10-12 days later, at your discretion)
I finally quit drinking for good.

now i drink for evil.

Here's my last sugar head before going full AG.

Had a 55 gallon fermenter on gen 2 literally half full of leftover COB/UJSSM grain. Added a bunch of chicken scratch on top then just enough thin sugar water to cover the grain again. 12 gallons or so of liquid. I stirred it occasionally what little I could over the course of 2 months, with an oar. After draining it overnight into a secondary fermenter I received a 10 gallon boiler charge of what looked like unfiltered apple juice. Smells like multigrain bread. Pot stilled this mess once. Ended up with 5 pints after cuts of 120 proof. The taste white is crazy strong, yet smooth. I'll be saving what little bit I got on oak to share with other members.

Gonna go up a mountain to cut tomorrow morning, where I'll bring several hundred pounds of the leftover grain to drop off for my favorite moose (Plural).

Jimbo love the lable. Big fan of the double A's, B's C's and D's

Bring on the Hawks.... Big fan of original 6 match ups

Old Tyme Hockey!!!!

I might have a little sniff of some Jimbo's brews left over. Being stranded in India didn't help my drinking agenda at all.
I'll tap those reserves tomorrow for sure.

Speaking of leche, here I come with some louche. Just made a few bottles of verté absinthe and I can tell it really grows on you. Tasting just one little glassful every night three days in a row, now when I just think of the bold scent it has my stomach starts growling immediately. Perfect aperitiv/digestive imho, and tastes great.

A little late, fell asleep on the couch last night. Picked up a bottle of Sam's Club brand 6X Distilled Vodka when there to pick up some sugar for the S3 Smokeyhead. "Crafted in Kentucky with Passion and Excellence. 6X Distilled. Made from Grain. Distilled at I.W.A Distilling Co. LTD, Louisville, KY"

Im sure it came out of a 30 plate meter wide column, but it they want to put 6X on there, arbitrary, fine whatever, those Distilled X times numbers are meaningless. Its not bad if you like rubbing alcohol. but Im not a Vodka drinker so completely unqualified to judge this stuff. For $13 a half gallon what the hell. Ill soak some fruit in it if nothing else.

Nothing today....on call for work, but enjoyed some single malt last night :) Can't wait until the smokeyhead gets a little age on it. Also made an experimental batch of "poor man's whisky" from a topic by NCHooch....cooked up 5lbs corn overnight in the oven (with high temp enzymes), added 3 lbs unmalted barley, topped with sugar and corn syrup to 6 gal. Made 2 batches to do a single run on.....curious. Thinking it will be a great way to fine tune a grain bill....and get 6 very nice, drinkable, quarts of sipping whisky.

For shits and giggles I thought I'd try making a quart of my very own 'FAKER BOURBON'. AKA, GNS from the IWA plant in Louisville (Sams Vodka, see below) on a few oak sticks. LOL.

Gonna be fun coming up with a label for this, maybe a dude in drag?

Feints run white whisky, to much grain flavour to be called vodka. It is a mix of ag, ujssm, brandy and cereal washes. Pretty damn good, no burn, no bite and smooth. I was pretty ruthless in the cuts. Proofed to 40%.
