woodshed
You all know my husband Steve. Just wanted you all to know he had a stroke last night. I have been housesitting buy dropped by this morning to check on him as he has been sick. I found him on the couch fairly incoherent and unable to put words together. Doctors think it was not too serious as he snow more responsive. He would want you all to know cause he loves this site and will probably not be around for awhile. I have peeked over his shoulder enough to know not being here everyday will be tough. Holly

Thoughts and prayers with you woodshed. I've never met you, but followed enough threads to feel like I know you. May the recovery be speedy and let's all hope you get some super power out of the deal. If you see a radioactive spider you might want to hedge your bets. Take care of yourself, I have no doubts you'll have a hard time setting aside time for yourself and your family with your various businesses but try, it'll go a long way in getting back to the status quo early.

Re: woodshed
Thanks for all the kind words. It is obvious to me why he enjoys this online community.
Just heard from the hospital and he is awake again after a minor surgery to clear a small blockage behind his left ear.
As you all are aware I am sure the staff wishes he was still asleep. he can be difficult in the best of times and is being so now.
Hates I mean hates hospitals. If he has it his way, and he usually does, he will be home tomorrow. stubborn but I love him.
Did a little looking around here. he always says you are the best bunch of people he has never met.
Thanks again.

Re: woodshed
Look forward to talking to him tomorrow then! Take care and get some rest and try to convince him to stay where he is. I hate Drs and hospitals too but this is the best place for him now. Take care

Re: woodshed
Thanks to MR. flatwood for the present. I have wanted to try it for a few days now but Steve insisted I wait until he no longer had the flu.
We planned on trying it tonight. considering the circumstance I don't think he will mind if I have a sip or two.
I do know my way around a good whiskey.
