Thanks everyone. I do hope you mean more social and not antisocial. he has a habit of calling them like he sees them and puts off quite a few people. he has never been one to hold back and can be BRUTALLY honest. you all probably know that though.
he has been through a lot of health issues this past year and I like to think it has softened him a little.

Woodshed,

We miss you. And we want you healthy. Take your time and heal proper. Don't push yourself to get back to business too soon.

These pages tell of the lives you've influenced. And many, many more.

All the best....to the best.

I can visualize all those nurses sitting in the nurses' lounge looking at each other and shaking there heads in bewilderment.

Steve, listen to the lady and get your rest. You need to listen to her - she had to put up with our sorry asses for the past few days. She deserves your respect - got ours.

Woodshed,

Been out of the loop for a few days. Our 10 month old is teething again and I have a hard time keeping up with things when that happens. I got scared when I saw this thread and heard the news. I'm so glad you're home where you can get some rest and recover. The freaking hospital is no place to get better the way they wake you up and poke you every hour or so. Glad you have a wonderful and understanding wife to help you through this. I'm sure your strength of character of and strong will will get you through this just fine.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Best wishes brother.

Shed (and family) I am so sorry I didn't post sooner, Windy let me know late on new years day what happened when he found out. I just wanted to share my condolences, I am so sorry you have to go thru this. It sounds like he's well looked after though. I'll keep y'all in my prayers and hope to see ya make a full and speedy recovery. I know I have a hard time just relaxing sometimes even when I really need it, but just take er easy and do what the doctors order. I will definitely be checking back regularly here

Glad you are home and on the way to recovery. Some things just take time to sort themselves out (a little medications to get things started in the right direction). Sounds like you are on the good side of the path. Best to you and yours. enjoy those white mountains and blue skies above your head for a few days.

Holly -- that's for the notes, it was much appreciated hearing your news and updates.

Was told to take time away from the site. Think it's good for me. Makes me focus on typing and spelling. Just slower right now.
My sleep cycle all screwy now.
Less than a week away from back to normal hoping. Pretty minor stroke all. Lazy lip and bedroom eye. Doc says probably go way.
Sorry Tater.

Its great to hear from you anyway Shed, and I'm very glad to hear that this shouldn't keep you down for long. But hell man, of course do what you gotta do and take time away from everything except for your family and relaxing and getting better. Everything else will still be there. But i was glad to see your post there

Indeed. A break will have it's pros, and cons. Take it for what it's worth. There is a whole world to explore, both in reality and inside each other's heads. You'll be back with us in your own way... In your own time.

We will all be earnestly awaiting your return.

Take advantage of the time away from here to hug up on that Lady , ms Holly . She's a keeper .

I got called to help a friend of mine 3 years ago that became a stroke victim . He is 10 years younger than me . Had a lucrative heavy truck roadside repair business , a bank account , a Lincoln Continental , and a girlfriend .

Several days later when I got called into the picture he had no girl friend , Lincoln , Or bank account . Creditors screaming bloody murder . 8 months later , including colon cancer surgery for myself , he walked out of rehab to return home for unassisted living . He was debt free and still had his service trucks , tools , and a 6 digit parts inventory to peddle out for day to day living expenses . He only had one friend .
You got thousands of friends and a Lady that has your back . You are blessed .
If you ain't the lead dog in the team , the scenery never changes . Ga Flatwoods made my avatar and I want to thank him for that .
Don't drink water , fish fornicate in it .
