how do you get your heavy fermenters out of the box??

Nice build. No thrill like overkill.

Thanks bellybuster. I put hanger bolts on all the wall bases so it comes apart. You can see the hanger bolts in some of the pics.I dont think I'll need to tighten them down with nuts but I can if I want to. The 2 piece lid slips over the top to square it up. I will put my boiler on one side and slide the opposite side top open to drain the boiling water into the fermenter.

Finished the insides and made the top. Top is a 2x8 so it will rest on the edge and hang over 2inches. I made it before I decided to a 2 piece so I still need to cut it and insulate it. Can't wait to try it.

Pretty cool. That must be some boiler. I'd love to see that one. I usually just mash in my BOP (only 25g) and let it out into my fermenter through a 2" valve. One less step for my method. I'd love to have a 40g boiler to meet my fermenter size. Some day.

So you plan on any corn recipes? I see you say you ferment off the grain.

Thanks DFitz. No big boiler here. I have a 26 gal milk can. I wont need both barrels but they were cheap so I got 2.

Thanks Half. It would make a good table but I made it to come apart into 6 pieces for storage.

Are you going to both mash and ferment in those drums? Cool in place then pitch?
