Have at it guys, I'm sure you've thought it through. One thing I learned in over 40 years of law practice is never argue unless I'm being paid.

"'noob palates arent to be trusted"

From an email with MichiganCornhusker. We were talking about how taste impressions can swing wildly from drunken stupor to sober, night to morning, and from assaulted tastebuds to neutral starting ground.

Truth. I like to go back and taste things often, on different days, different conditions. And often times have a whole new perspective, opinion. Shit, as if this hobby isnt hard enough already :?

BWAHAHAHA You guys are killin me. I just like to still a lot of stuff, often, regularly, relentlessly, obsessively maybe (according to my wife). And I like to write when I feel like I did something right that someone here could benefit from. Its far from gospel tho, so I appreciate any feedback, like from skow, that I didnt quite hit the mark on something. Thanks one and all, and thanks for your confidence. The quality of the information here is only what we make it.

Watching the political brew-HaHa from both parties over the last few days and I'm reminded of a saying from my grandfather (who hated politicians)

Thread : Making cuts.

In summary, I like to think that we hobbiests have the advantage of creation...to make our own signature libations. We don't have to drink someone's profit margin induced, headache generating, generic flavored spirits anymore. Ain't it grand!

Wine gets this kind of latitude all the time.
I hope to see a more expanded view of "vintages" as the pro craft distilleries get better at their craft.
