Calculator - Online or Downloadable to plan an ALL Grain Mash session
If one exists similar to Palmer's tool for planning/designing a BEER brew, but for distilling, please advise/remind me.
Is there a calculator to plan a mash session that takes inputs like:
- Kettle/Keg vessel size or Target Mash size in gallons
- Grain inputs
- Grain ratios
- use of enzymes (if any)
That then suggests the amount of water to be used (based on grain absorption and evaporation)
that suggests the amount of each grain to be used to achieve the ratio desired.
That suggests the timing of use of each of these items for there most effective use.
I am planning my first Bourbon ratio all grain and I encounter these questions as I Plan to begin.
(Just returned from a jaunt to Home Depot to find two replacement bolts/wingnuts for the crappy, stripped chinese bolts included in the cheap corn grinding mill that's been sitting on the garage shelf.)

What platform are you using? I use BeerSmith 2 on Android/s. It is by far the most feature rich piece of software I have tried that is aimed at home brewers. It has all those tools and MUCH more.
I like using a tablet for this particular job because of the simple fact it isn't in a static location. I believe BeerSmith has software for multiple platforms however... I haven't really looked into it.

Bearriver:
That is a BEER calculator. Many of those. My question asked for Distilling Mash calculators.
Can you help me understand how you use Beersmith to plan your all grain distilling mashes.? I'm probably rushing too much , hoping to use this 3day weekend productively. I'll look at it in more detail.

Yes. It is an application intended for beer brewers. However, you will find inside that application the very same tools you requested in your OP.
It may or may not have the enzyme calculator, I haven't checked.
Check your PM's
