The king of brownie points!

Post by piperdave »

While sitting there babysittin' the still stripping 50 L of molasses rum wash in the still room ( thats what I call it, wifey calls it the laundry room) I notice a stack of clothes ready to get washed. So I says to myself, "Self, go get yourself some brownie points. 11 liters of low wines later the clothes are washed and folded. Now given that I probably folded shit wrong I still figure I'm at least the duke of brownie points!

This is brilliant, for those of us with partners who don't share our enthusiasm. Connect the hobby in their mind with some other activity that they like. I distill in the kitchen, so I could leave it sparkly clean every time or bake a cake or knit or something. :)

Doing the laundry is good for brownie points today.
Do it often enough and you'll start getting in trouble when you don't do it.

I run in the basement, so I scoop the litter boxes every time.

You'd think that "providing good, free booze" would be enough, but wives are strange creatures.

I was right...I didn't fold things up to spec. I was hoping to get fired but there was little said after that. I think I still have my half of the "stillin'" room intact. Sippin' a raisin aged rum, watching the game and thinking life is good. Hell ya!

I am the master of this. The rules are if you do it 2 times then it is your job. Those rules are for me only. OH, wait maybe I am not the master of this maybe I am the worst of this. I think I resemble those remarks.

Although I have washed my own clothes since I was a teen, I stand at the washer and say "Now which bottle do I use first?"...and if she hasnt heard me yet I will call out to her "Did you say it is OK to dry your jeans?" (It's never OK to dry her jeans) ....in moments she will be in the Landry room telling me to "Moooove" like some IT guy trying to fix a business computer.
