do you know who the last poster from 2006 (sinker) is today?

he is still slightly active today under his replacement name.

please answer here with yes or no until there is a consensus.

others are welcome to chime in yes or no.

this was inspired by Grasshopper's old guard thread.

one of two for me, but i would give 90% to one of them.

i'm not quite detail oriented enough to pick off the subtleties for a 100$ bet though.

Is the answer sinker?

Because this post from masonjar seems to be closer to the ball droping.

@Snackson: Where's your sportsmanship? Der wo and bluefish_dist haven't replied yet. I believe cob intended this to be a challenge. :ewink:

I think I have found out. Pmed it to cob. But of course I didn't know, while writing in this thread about teflon.
I'm curious about the backstory.

If you read the first intro post of the other guy he makes no bones about the fact he is sinker and explains the reason for the new moniker. Heck it even reflects on his old name

Oh my bad English. Yes the names...
And I see his first post, yes I was right. :D
My pm to cob is still in the "Outbox" not in the "Sent massages" folder, I don't know why.

Because of the trophy I renounce generously voluntarily to bearriver, he was first and besides the shipping costs to washington are less.

the question was, who is sinker now?

the answer is in this thread http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... 9#p6706019. about half way down.

der wo and bearriver searched the answer out, others knew, others didn't.

posting the answer now because bluefish_dist seems to be an infrequent visitor.

sinker's first post is epic.

I thought the challenge was to figure out who was the last poster of the year and that "(sinker)" was edited in as the answer.

Hookline had something like "The artist formerly known as sinker" in his sig for a long time.
