hi guys,
well probably somewhere ppl asked similar question but search wont let me search back pressure so have to ask it again i hope ppl kind enough to reply
well i tried to expand from 1 gallon pot to 5
thou since 110% of stuff ppl easily can buy there not available here i thought i try with whats available ...
i bought 5 gallon stainless steel water heater and now only problem im facing even with half full is there lots of back pressure i tried flour paste still heavily leaking out and not much from path i made for gas to come out for cooling down...
here is photo of what i drilled middle of that top door for this matter still no luck
i appreciate any tip to fix this issue

That sounds like a real problem, what do you have bolted on top of it? Is the column (?) clear? Is it packed? Is the packing to tight? Do you have anything else that could be restricting vapour flow? You really do need to help us help you because this can be a very serious problem.
Getting back into stilling after a few years off.

Backpressure should never occur in a good design, it's a serious problem.
What kind of still head do you use..?
Also like Skow I would like to see some pictures of your setup.
It could just be a minor issue, but it's hard to give an advice without pictures of the rig.

Sounds like you may just have some leaks and notbback pressure.
As others have said however back pressure is what can make a still go boom so this may be a very serious issue. PLEASE don't run that still again untill you are positive the issue is corrected. You can test with water to check for leaks and pressure issues.

Maybe your worm is too small causing restriction?

A potstill running balls to the wall, should have less than 1 inch of water pressure.
A thumper and/or plates will add some more..
