Of course I did. But it says illegal activities- marijuana isn't universally illegal anymore (and has also never been illegal in many place).. If someone was taking about water bongs or ?whatever else (illegal) is associated with it?, I'd get the anxiety but is was sarcasm. I see PLENTY of sexism in the form of sarcasm on these pages (as well as POLITICS?). And I get that we are guests here and our opinion doest account for much- and I'm fine with that. Rules are rules; but the same can be said for hypocrisy. Right?

I'm done with the topic- all I'm saying is if that is a steadfast rule- so should the rest. I really enjoy and Benoit from these pages and am thankful for their existence:)

Ok everyone just simmer down.
Like I said it was a minor joke and didn't mean to get so many feathers ruffled or this thread so far off track. For that I'm sorry.

Lets move on.

Ok.
Buying sugar and not looking like its for distilling:
-Don't wear your dungarees, better a tuxedo.
-Shave you from the ugly beard.
-Buy also something like non-alcoholic beer. Or meat substitutes. And smoothies.
-Send your wife or mother

I need to get at least 25lb today or tomorrow and was thinking the self check out line. Then again it's people in the store that sees me with all the sugar. Thinking just having the wife do it. Lots of groceries and at the bottom. Then again we don't eat sugar, do non gmo, and all that then here is 25 lb of sugar. I'm going to say it's for the animals feed. Got some bad hay and our milk goats won't eat it so we are mixing it with water and putting it on the hay. Main thing is the town isn't that big and seeing me with it, the wife odds are they wouldn't Suspect it

I just pick up a 10# bag here and there. At $0.48/pound at that price it's not that bad. No need to get a huge sack when a 10# every few trips to the store will work.

I was at wally world with a 25 lb sack in the cart and met a business associate that knows I'm on a strict low carb diet. (no wife no kids)

My explanation was it was a donation for a homeless shelter which I do work at .

One time my padna and I were buying a 25lb bag at the local Winn Dixie(windiculus) about 5 mins before closing time and there was just one cashier and the detail cop. He came up to us while we were buying it and said "let me ask you a question about this huge bag of sugar.". Homie and I look at each other like aww nawww this ain't good... He says " do you really save that much money buying in bulk? "

Luckily we were also buying canned Apple pie filling I guess...little did he know

Anyway that's all I have to add other than don't sweat it. You ain't doing nothing wrong

Wife picked up 2-25lbs bags of sugar with the youngest last night and none the wisest, hopefully. With a mom with a screaming kid and loaded with groceries, people look away, just glad she did see anyone she knew.

Here's one thing - I get corn sugar from the brew shop

And now I get my grocery store type stuff from restaurant depot. Which is a members only wholesale warehouse. Like 7 bucks for 50lbs of domino.

Last night I was at Walgreen's buying white sugar and wheat flour at 2am tho. Haha. The cop actually helped me find the flour there, oddly enough. Kinda think he was a rent a cop tho. Here in new Orleans no one seems to care anyway, we are constantly bringing jugs of shine to our favorite bartenders and sharing them with everyone. Though I don't frequent any tourist joints and would never do that there.

I will be looking around for brown sugar in bulk. Sugar at BJ'S wholesale no problem 25 lb. bags. I am not sure about buying feed Molasses just yet. I raise chickens so I have made corn mash for years, birds love it and their poop is solid . Co worker asked me how I made it and I said I just take a 5 gallon pail fill it with water, cracked corn and add yeast or better yet old mash juice and let it sit open for 2 weeks. He asked me if it had an off taste and I told him birds are good with it and I never tried it. He finally figured out that it was really just chicken mash.

They do get a buzz I must guess. That may account for some of the fights over the mash. They like the stuff that has a haze of white mold on it the best.
