My First Mash!!!
Sorry guys, y'all might find this boring, but I just set my first mash fermenting! It's only a sacrificial run for cleaning my new still, but I'm so excited that I could stand on the bar and announce it to the world!! But, since I can't do that, y'all get to hear it!! I've been reading the website and the forums for the last several months, and now finally got something going... The info here is Awesome. I keep reading myself in circles. I'm lucky in the fact that I have a friend who is very experienced and active in this forum that I can run to for help. Sorry for rambling, but I'm so EXCITED!!!!
Re: My First Mash!!!
Congratulations, Jeff. And welcome to the board.
Photobucket didn't work. Please upload photos directly to the forum. We frown on 3rd party hosts.
And here's a tip to make you sound smart. "Wash" is the generic term for something you fermented to distill. It's only a "mash" if it's made totally from grains with no sugar.

Re: My First Mash!!!
Sorry, and thanks for the tip about Wash. Still getting the terms confused. Do you have a link that you could send me on how to upload to the forum? All the search results I get recommend photobucket, or how to upload to the Wiki. Maybe I'm missing the obvious, but any help would be appreciated....
Re: My First Mash!!!

Re: My First Mash!!!
A sacrifical using corn?
Re: My First Mash!!!
Yes, It's my first attempt at making a wash and figured the little bit of corn wasn't all that expensive if I could learn something. Already planning my next wash for a real run after the still is cleaned....
