Fruit Tails...lots of fruit flavor hiding deep...

I have been running a lot of fruit washes lately...mainly stripping runs hot and fast. Been running them down to 20%abv...now while it's true that most of the powerful fruit flavor and smell come through in the heads, it seems that deep in the tails a lot more mellow fruit smell and taste starts coming through. From what I have noticed, the sharp tails start coming through at about 65-70% and last until about 50-55% then below 50% is when the acrid sharpness seems to go away and the mellow fruit flavor and smell start to come back. Has anyone else noticed this? I am deep in the tails of a peach stripping run right now and i can damn near stick my tongue under the stream. I will be doing a spirit run on these last 2 stripping runs tomorrow so i will update this thread as to whether or not they come through then as well.
