I'm still hoping to make this. If I do it'll probably be tent and sleeping bag and fly in. All depends on how things go in my new field of work.

Failing being turned around at the boarder I can see no reason why we wont be there. We are really looking forward to meeting you guys and gals.

Well , here we are . Time for commitments and planning . Those that respond in the next two weeks or so will be included in a blanket PM with phone#'s and directions . Late comers will also be accommodated . I just want to make as simple as possible with one post via PM .
We will provide a couple hundred acres for towed and tent campers . The house guest room is reserved for Croweater and his Lady . Motel accommodations are 6 miles away along I-79 for those that need their 'comforts' .
We will be ready to begin receiving visitors on the afternoon of 8/5/16 . Evening meal will be 'hoppins' ; what ever hoppins to be on hand for all of us . Wiener roast at the very least . Camp fire as well .
8/6 will be a long day with a pork bbq toward the end .
8/7 will offer an informal breakfast for those left standing .
A portapotty will be placed in a central location for the guys . Ladies get the inside facilities . Campers outside the yard can use whatever tree or bush that suits them .
Bring along whatever beverage you wish or we will try to help you find it once you get here . We will try to feed the troops .
House Rules will be followed :
#1 Politics and Religion will NOT become topics of conversation . Those and alcohol lead to confrontations .
#2 don't piss on the patio .
#3 Don't kick our dogs .
#4 Have a seat , have a drink , relax and count your blessings . Enjoy the company you are in .
#5 Violaters of the house rules will NOT be asked to leave . It will be required of them to do so .
Roll call will be everyone that responds and we will address their needs as they define them . I most encourage anyone that can to bring a camper or a tent and stay on the farm . The county cops are hard on DUI's .
If you ain't the lead dog in the team , the scenery never changes . Ga Flatwoods made my avatar and I want to thank him for that .
Don't drink water , fish fornicate in it .

I believe I will try to make it, probably toss a tent up somewhere. Only 6 hours from here, not too shabby.

I would come, but I'd end up kicking a dog after losing a political debate with it.

I'm a man who rescues spiders. I could no more kick a dog than I could eat a tree.

Apologies to our non-native English speakers for that last sentence.

Now, if he's a true Aussie he prolly peed in the ballot box and shagged a party mascot. We just held federal elections two days ago and it's so close they still can't call it

OK , we are at 9 attending at this point . FMHermit , I assumed that you would attend , you haven't said yes or no . That leaves it a family gathering size . The dynamics change as the numbers grow . That's why I keep asking . Menu planning and personal accommodations change with larger groups . We wish to be good hosts .

Been somewhat reclusive here of late. Didn't mean to be rude.

8/5-6 is the date ?

Tentative yes at this time.

Hey all, sorry for the late reply. Me and the Mrs will be there. Rager, still a go! Wish I had more offerings to bring, but I've been hell-bent on making beer lately. I may be able to pull off 2 last minute rum runs (final strip & spirit)... the spirit run is too big to mention around these parts, so if it's good I may have some gifts for everyone. If it sucks, I'll leave it all home for the oak.

Looking forward to this very much!
