Reminds me of that old Hee-Haw skit:

Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper?

"Well, the wood got wet, and I couldn't start a fire, and the goose that was for dinner got through the hole in the wire. So, here we are with nothing, do ya' get the point? Let's all go down to the hamburger joint."

Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper?

"Well, Beauregard slipped in an' et all the meat, and walked in the pudding with his muddy feet, no wood in the kitchen and the stove is cold, so ya' better eat the bologna before it gets too old."

Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper?

"Well, the stove blow'd up and made the cake fall, and it slung our supper all over the wall, so it's bologna sandwiches and warm iced tea, but I'll do better tomorrow you wait and see."

Elk steaks cooked med rare on the grill with some mulberry smoke. Baked taters with veggies from my garden. All preceded by 3 month old whiskey from my barrel. Don't do after dinner except on occasion some lemoncello.

True. I miss Alaska sometimes.

Tonight was smoked boneless pork chops that were 4" thick. I filled the smoker with sausages, bacon, and chickens too. Smoky leftovers for weeks.

Just no one ever eats it raw in Australia I might have to give it a try.
