using flavor essence made with propylene glycol
I'm curious how safe it would be to flavor some ujssm with natural flavoring essence made with propylene glycol and then run it again. The essence I have is food grade I'm just unsure of Stilling propylene glycol. 4ml of this stuff will flavor 16 ounces of liquid very nicely. The company I got my essences from is glccflavors.com. The company says that one litre can flavor 130 gallons of beer wine and cider. The company told me that it could be used in spirits also but never mentioned actually flavoring a spirit and running it again. If you contact the company they give out 60ml free samples of there extracts. Anyways back to my original question. If I flavor 5 gallons of good hearts with this stuff could I run it again to make it clear or would the propylene glycol mess up my pot still? I'd really like some clear raspberry xxx ujssm. But I want to be safe more.

Ok from researching different companies and a few web pages that propylene glycol flavoring is ethanol soluble. When you distill it for a final product the propylene glycol will be extracted during the tails run but the flavor itself should not be in the propylene glycol anymore.
