Rice Bran
Anyone ever made a sugar shine or all grain using rice bran? Sure smells good. May have to give it a try.

There's a couple of "rice threads" in the Recipe Development and Grains forums. Look there.

Re: Rice Bran
I've made lots of sugar shine and the results are always a little different, but usually has a really unique aroma. I like to do 2 pounds brown sugar and 6 pounds white in a 5 gallon wash. I've used the funky smelling nutrient and a ukranian samogon (самогон) recipe that called for lemon juice and tomato paste. The lemon juice and tomato paste nutrient smelled loads better than the funky brew shop nutrients. I like leaving some whole anise and other spices in the finished product.
Re: Rice Bran
Not tried it, no, but the bran is usually the outer husk of the grain and doesn't have much starch in it... are you thinking of using it for flavour / aroma only?
You could use brown rice and get the best of both worlds...
