I stopped here because I'm wondering how hard it will be to pull my packing if the column is soldered directly to the head.
I'm just being cheap, tri-clamp setups are expensive and so are 2" NPT copper fittings. Would flour paste be my friend here or should I just solder on the column and find a way to pull 48" worth of packing? I will upgrade to modular when $$ permits, for now I want to keep it functional
