newbie here =)

Post by StimpDog »

I've been reading up on the science of re-flux stills lately, I find it fascinating. What are the chances that my neighbor just happens to have a re-flux still that he isn't using anymore and gave it to me!

Aside from understanding the science behind a re-flux still, I'm grossly lacking in knowledge about how to run/use the still itself...that's why I'm here. I hope you all can help me by giving me the information I need to get started...like what other tools I'm going to need. I already figured out that I'll need a 1500 watt hot plate...but what other tools should I invest in right away. What the best way to make a good corn mash?...I have all these question! (don't answer them here, they will all be posted in the correct boards shortly.)

I'm from the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, so if anyone else is from here, that would be good to know too!

Anyway, I look forward to chatting with ya'll soon - Stimp'Dog
