Alcohol vs silver, how does it react with it?
Has anybody put much thought into brewing with silver? Seems to me silver could be electroplated to stainless steel along with other metals commonly used in brewing. I understand copper is ideal. But i can't seem to find the right search term to see how silver reacts with alcohol. Silver has antimicrobial properties is why I ask and pure silver conducts heat well I think. Although too much of a good thing could turn your blood blue... Sans the term blue blood. Any thoughts?

I looked at silver plating a good many years ago and ahve a couple of books on it. Lots of Potassium Cyanide and advice to do this outside
I'd need a significant RAMS and CBA before I even tried to access Potassium Cyanide !

This chemist doesn't think metallic silver reacts with alcohol though silver salts might. But silver is so easily tarnished I'd think you'd have a never ending battle trying to keep your equipment purty.
